Professor Schoen on supramolecular chemistry in Cardiology Today

Xeltis was featured in Cardiology Today on May 20th, 2014. Professor Frederick J. Schoen writes about “Supramolecular chemistry and the development of a living heart valve replacement”.

Schoen, professor of pathology and health sciences and technology at Harvard Medical School, states: “The new technology created by Xeltis utilizes biodegradable matrices that are designed to stimulate and guide the body’s natural healing response without the need for stem cells, growth factors or animal tissue delivered from outside the patient.”
